Taught (in Arabic and French) introductory courses of public Law, bases of Constitutional law and Constitutional theory, Comparative Political Regimes (including the peculiarities of Islamic States) as well as (in English) a special course of “American Studies” to Moroccan and international students majoring in English.
Research Activity:
Authored more than 40 course chapters, presented 17 papers in international forums and congresses, and served as the Principal Researcher on three research projects: as a Jury Member of two doctoral dissertations and as an Advising Specialist on two field projects. Recognized as a Fulbright Visiting Specialist on Islam to Harvard University [“Direct Access to the Muslim World”-May 2004] and as a Distinguished lecturer at various international forums, i.e. the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies in Munich (Fall 2004 and Spring 2005) and the NATO/Rand Corporation Conference on “Gulf Security” in Doha, Qatar (April 2004).
Departmental Service:

– Successfully worked on forging partnerships between local businesses and the University to pilot programs of placement of graduates, most particularly with the Casablanca Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Casablanca Regional Investment Office.

2001-2004: Project Co-Director (University Leadership Partnership with Indiana State University)
– Initiated, made personal contacts, developed and linked Indiana State University to Hassan II University – Mohammedia (Morocco); this led to the signature in September 2002 of an Agreement of Cooperation between the Presidents of the two universities; sectors of cooperative activities were defined to cover such areas as: University Administrative Capacity Building, Islamic and Middle East Studies, Social Sciences, Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing, Pedagogy and Curriculum Innovation, Business and Economics as well as Science and Technology; I was appointed by the President of my university as the program coordinator
– Within this agreement was launched a two year program [Higher Education Leadership] for which funding was obtained from ALO/US-AID; as project co-director, I worked on identifying the target beneficiaries of the planned leadership training sessions (mostly presidents of Moroccan universities, vice presidents and deans), coordinated orientation sessions and followed up on the training (Indiana: Summer 2003; Casablanca: Winter 2003; Marrakesh: Spring 2004)
